I have been passionate about interior design since my high school years. When I was 15, I started design school through dual enrollment classes while in high school and transferred to The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, in Los Angeles. After graduation, I began my career at a Los Angeles-based firm, where I was fortunate to work on an array of unique projects including a Pre-Academy Awards party. I returned to Austin to work for a custom cabinetry company, establishing relationships with custom home builders and becoming an expert in millwork construction. As a member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), my specialty has always been in custom soft good detailing, including draperies, bedding, pillows and upholstery furnishings.
It's hard to categorize my personal style, I get asked this often. As an Austinite, I come across a variety design styles - my clients range from Old Hollywood Glam to Traditional Mediterranean to Classic Contemporary. I'm fortunate to have a diversity of clientele and the chance to show my creativity in different ways, as you'll see from posts and portfolio photos.
You will find some of my work published in Austin Urban Home, LUXE, Texas Home and Living, Austin Home, Austin Monthly, Statesman and Design Guide. Additionally, for my design work on kitchens, bathrooms and master bedrooms, I have won ASID Design Excellence and ASID Legacy Design awards.
My interior design projects include Westlake, Lakeway, Central Austin and surrounding areas. You can better view my interior design experience here or at - www.designstudio2010.com
